A fantastic result for the Blarney Club at this years IPF Interclub in Mullingar with our first podium place for joint 3rd with Drogheda for Colour Print and 4th in the Mono Print giving us 4th position overall. Congratulations to Catchlight, Dundalk and Drogheda 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Fantastic work done but lots to do! The solid work achieved at the SACC regional Interclub with our 1st place gave a tremendous jumping off point for the National Competition. Here is looking forward to greater success in 2019!!
To celebrate Blarney Photography Club’s victory in the 2018 SACC Interclub a special fixture was added to the regular Thursday club night. The Clubs unofficial HQ, The back bar in The Castle Hotel ( Johnnies ) was the venue for a great night of spirited celebration for the club. Have a look at slideshow below and you can see what a great night it was. Special Thanks to Henry for all the great photos.
Blarney Photography Club won the Southern Region Inter Club for 2018. This was our first time ever winning the overall award, having come 2nd in the previous two years. This is a great result for a club which was only formed in 2010.
Competitions would like to acknowledge and thank our selectors, Paul Reidy, Eddie Kelly, Des Daly, Bill Power, who gave of the expertise, and time to create this memorable occasion.
To all the members who submitted images for selection, a big thank you. It goes without saying that there would not be panels without you.
