The individual award winners are as follows – and again, our congratulations!

  • Winning individual colour print: Bill Power, Cork Camera Group for his image “L’esprit du Fauconnier”
  • Winning individual monochrome print: Paul Reidy, Blarney Photography Club for his image “Pushing Time”
  • Winning individual projected image: Bill Power, Cork Camera Group for his image “A Secret Place”
  • Overall individual winner: Bill Power, Cork Camera Group for his image “A Secret Place”

It was no surprise when the Cork Camera Group completed the triple by winning the competition for the third year in a row. They presented a very fine set of images in all three competitions and were worthy winners on the day.

Wexford Camera Club took second place overall but the real good news came when it was announced that “The greatest little Photography Club in the World” came third overall. It was a great achievement for our club, that is only a few years old. In addition to third overall we took second place in Monochrome print ahead of Wexford and barely missed out on a podium position in the Projected being pipped by just 2 points by Mallow and Carlow who shared second place.

There was a great representation from the club at the event and this added immensely to the atmosphere when our results were announced.

Congratulations and thanks to all the members who contributed their images, to the Club Selectors for their dedication in search for perfection, and to the two early risers who had to make it up to Kilkenny to mount the panels. A great effort and a good outcome.
