A weekend to remember at the National Club Championships
Blarney takes on the “Big Boys” at the National Club Championships and brings the Colour Title back Blarney for the first time in the club’s short history. The Colour Title has been the preserve of clubs who have won the FIAP World Cup for Clubs and to take the title ahead on any of those was an amazing feat of photography which was greeted with very genuine applause and cheering from the large attendance and which is testament to the dedicated photographers who submitted images, to Competition Officer, Mao. and his selectors and the popularity of Blarney Photography Club within the IPF.
Blarney also came 3rd overall out of the 27 participating clubs. This is the first time that Blarney finished in the “Medals”. Something that every member should be very proud of.
In the individual awards Bill Power was awarded a “horrible mention” for his colour print, while Strappo took the top piece of “scrap metal” in the same competition. This was Blarney’s first ever individual Gold medal at these championships. Congratulations both.
